Do you wear glasses or does someone in your family wear glasses? If so you will know how important routine eye care is. I have worn contacts for the past 10 years and for a couple years before that I wore only glasses, my husband wears glasses for distance. With our recent move we have to find a new eye doctor. Zeiss, a global leader in precision optics offers free educational tools that provides tips for selecting an eye doctor as well as facts to know about vision and lenses

FREE Eye Care Educational Tools:
  • Facts to know about vision and lenses
  • Tips for selecting an eye doctor
  • Questions to ask at your next eye appointment
  • Facts to know about age-related vision changes
The educational tools allow eye glass wearers to better understand their vision correction needs, and to ensure they get the most out of their next eye exam. You are also able to get the best lenses to regain sharp vision. One fact I found is that some optometrists use advanced technology called the ProfilerPlus® by ZEISS which maps subtle imperfections in the eye.  The Optometrist is then able to create a super-precise eyeglass prescription that can improve night vision. I tend to see worse at night and prefer to travel during the day, they next time I go for my yearly exam I will have to check to see if the local Optometrist offers this service.

Are you due for a routine eye exam, if so you may want to consider reading through Zeiss's educational tools. The tools can help you to make decisions even before you step foot in an eye office.
